Retail Merchandiser Job Role: Retail Merchandiser Job Type: Temporary Pay Rate: £7.83 per hour Hours of work: 6:00pm to 10:00pm Location: Royston. Maybe you are a busy parent, looking for short shifts to fit around your busy family life, or a student who is looking for a role to fit around your studies. Whatever the reason, we would like to hear from you! We are looking for enthusiastic merchandisers to support our retail client over the Christmas period. The purpose of the role is to create an engaging customer environment by ensuring the clothing department is fully stocked, clean and tidy. Some retail experience would be advantageous, but it's not essential. You must be able to dedicate 4 hours per evening from 18:00 to 22:00, covering an 11-week period on varying days. Duties include: * Maintain a professional, friendly and enthusiastic manner always * Ensure that the department is tidy and presentable and conforms to the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety always * Become familiar with core lines and key ranges to ensure that they remain stocked always. * Ensure all stock is correctly coded, priced with the correct point of sale * Carry out checks to repair damaged packing and action damaged product in line with procedures * Ensure all security procedures are adhered to always and respond actively to any breach in line with company procedure. Skills Required: * Excellent communication * Organisation skills * Able to work in a fast-paced environment * Strong knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
