HRGO are seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant, maintaining and enhancing the dining standards and ensuring that customers receive a seamless, inviting dining experience. The job holder is expected to operate the restaurant to an exceptionally high standard. The beautifully restored Restaurant, offers a contemporary dining space, for the public as well as day visitors and short break guests. The objective is to become a go to destination within the local area and enhance the luxury short breaks guest experience, serving breakfast, lunch, Sunday Roast, and dinner.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership abilities, combined with a meticulous approach to work, with excellent attention to detail. Must be able to remain calm under pressure and be able to deliver a high standard of customer service and the ability to drive a positive staff environment.
Key Duties:
To provide the highest quality of guest service in the restaurant with the aim to at all times exceed guest expectations.
Ensure the team are knowledgeable, prepared and well trained to deliver visitors and guests with an exemplary dining experience
Implementing and monitoring standards of procedures in line with the restaurant's ethos, ensuring the team provide excellent customer service at all times.
Develop the business to grow the restaurant revenues and motivate the team to drive sales.
To ensure that all guest complaints within the restaurant are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner and in an appropriate style where speed of response and courtesy are paramount.
Responsible for organising staff shifts and holidays to deliver a consistent and high standard of service at all times
Maintain the required level of stock and stock control arrangements in the restaurant and cellar.
Responsible for the recruitment of the restaurant team and, in conjunction with the HR
Drive the company values forward in everything you do, actively and positively contributing to change processes, ethos and engaging with culture management.
Ensure that a strong culture of training and development, exists within the restaurant by undertaking and supporting training activities and career development of the team.
Ensure that all employees work within a safe and secure environment by complying with H&S legislation and to liaise closely with the Health & Safety Manager and Health and Safety consultants as required.
Carry out regular risk assessments of all work procedures in the areas for which you are responsible so that any present or future hazards are controlled or eliminated.
Experience
Minimum 2 years Restaurant Management experience within a quality hospitality venue.
Managing staffing levels and rosters to efficiently meet occupancy levels and budgets.
Dealing with complaints and confidently provide a suitable resolution.
Experience of developing and training a team of 25 to 30 staff, to meet defined SOPs.
Maximising profit through upselling and team productivity.
Knowledge & Skills
Excellent Food & Beverage delivery knowledge.
Previous use of an electronic booking system.
