Recycling Site Manager

A highly respected, local family business, with five UK sites located through out Sussex and Kent are seeking an experienced Site Manager for the busiest site within the group, situated near Eastbourne

The position will require you to provide consistent people management & development skills and you will have a strong continuous improvement attitude and encourage the same across the site with all members.

The position involved management of all site staff on a day to day basis, ensuring the appropriate allocation of work etc.

You will ideally have exp within either: Metals Recycling, Waste Management Operations, Depot Management, demolition / waste Management

Responsible for the daily coordination of the necessary logistics for the movement of material in and out of the site. Manage all stock to ensure material is loaded out in an effective and timely manner.

Ensuring all statutory inspections, planned and reactive maintenance of all site plant and machinery is completed.

Coordinate and manage all stock movements in and out of the site daily and ensure material is loaded out in a timely manner.

Responsible for maintaining accurate stock level records and have available all necessary stock data for flash audits.

Ensure the site operates within its designated regulatory framework and all necessary site license.

You will manage all aspects of the day-to-day Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements of the site and equipment.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills:

Essential:

1. Formal health & safety training - NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupation Safety and Health or Managing Safely.

2. Team management with proven leadership and management skills.

3. IT literate.

4. Excellent verbal and written skills.
