HRGO Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Permanent Quality Systems Engineer for an automotive company based in Washington. Main Objectives: * The successful candidate will develop and benchmark Quality Management System which is independently certificated to transition from ISO9001:2015 to IAFT16949:2016 status and also develop a programme of audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements. Outline and Responsibilities: * Maintain and develop the existing integrated management system to ensure it satisfies the needs of the business both in terms of product quality and environmental legal compliance * Benchmark management systems with allied global plants confirming its suitability, adequacy, effectiveness and strategic alignment. Where appropriate introduce best practice * Coordinate internal and external third party audits (such as customer/certification surveillance audits /re-certification audits). * Develop and maintain an APQP/PPAP system to manage suppliers and integrate customer requirements within the system. * Liaise with Corporate technical departments, and external test/academic institutions. Experience and Qualifications Required: Degree qualified in Quality Assurance/engineering or science subject or completing final year. * Extensive experience of Quality Management System and Environmental Management Systems - IATF 16949:2016 / ISO9001:2015 / ISO14001:2015 - system implementation and maintenance experience * Experience of third party audit / customer audit * Internal systems audit - Planning, monitoring. * Customer and / or supplier Project - for example using APQP and PPAP systems * Lead Auditor certification and experience * Experience of IATF/TS core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, FMEA, SPC) * Strong written and verbal communication skills - reporting throughout the business at all levels and with all functions will be required.
