Our client who is a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier in Washington are looking for someone who are looking to start their career as a Quality Engineer.

You will be an integral member of the Quality Assurance Team with the day to day responsibility of customer and supplier quality assurance with the following key responsibilities:-

Communication of Customer Quality expectations, Quality Standards and Requirements throughout the Company
*

New product introduction
*

Supplier Management
*

Identification of applicable product control methods, measurement systems and their analysis
*

Developing quality standards/instructions
*

Monitoring, analysis and resolution of Internal Quality concerns
*

Internal auditing
*

Drive continuous improvement throughout the company

Key Responsibilities:

*

Customer satisfaction (Customer Quality performance/Customer Concerns investigations and response within established timescales)
*

Quarantine Stock Levels
*

Timely calibration of Measuring Equipment
*

Internal auditing
*

Non-Quality Costs
*

Quality Training and awareness
*

Customer complaint investigation and corrective action management with feedback to customers and management
*

Understanding of 8D process and other related problem solving methodology - 5Y, Ishikawa, etc
*

Internal Audit experience, knowledge of corrective action management with feedback to management
*

Knowledge and experience of TS16949/IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems and requirements
*

Supplier Quality Liaison - actioning and reporting on supplier related quality concerns which may arise at either the customer or within the internal production processes and implementing/requesting necessary corrective action as required
*

Action and reporting of internal reject items, investigation of issues arising in production and action of stock to ensure reject stock is actioned quickly and effectively.
*

Implementation of corrective actions relating to rejection issues and the training and awareness of employees regarding these actions

You must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative and as a part of a team.

Practical knowledge/understanding of IATF16949 (ISO TS 16949) Quality Management Systems is essential.
