Purchasing Assistant
I am looking for a Temporary Purchasing Assistant locally in Ashford, working within the NHS. This role is starting immediately, on a temp - perm basis.
You will be reporting to the Senior Buyer in the Team.
Main duties:
Receiving equipment requests
Dealing with queries
Standard office management duties
Regularly conversing with the General public, internal members of staff, suppliers and NHS supply chain.
Assisting the Senior Buyer in supporting and facilitating the evaluation and trialling of new/alternative products and services in conjunction with users and in accordance with agreed policies and user/speciality groups.
To ensure that all contracts negotiated are stored electronically within the contracts library and accurately recorded in the Contracts Database
To liaise with customer budget holders, clinicians and other stake holders to define and specify their business needs and to ensure that these are appropriately authorised
To consistently demonstrate best value for money for the taxpayer by the effective sourcing of goods and services
Your experience:
Competent in Microsoft packages
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Working in a challenging and fast paced environment
Strong time management skills with the ability of prioritising
Knowledge in all aspects of supply, contracting and electronic procurement systems
Weekly hours: 37.5, between the hours of 8am - 5pm or 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
