Do you have experience within a finance environment, looking for a brilliant step in your successful career? I am looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to start ASAP with a well known client in the Ashford area.
Main Tasks
Coding and checking Invoices, petty cash claims, expenses and entering onto system daily
Ensuring all documentation received meets VAT requirements
Reconciling bank statements to the cash book on a weekly basis
Preparing a weekly BACS run
Reviewing/actioning age creditors reports
Ensuring all invoices/expenses are signed off in accordance to authorisation procedures
Dealing with purchase enquiries
Preparing adhoc payment runs as and when required
Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
Personal Requirements
Prior experience within a Purchase Ledger environment is deemed essential
Knowledge and experience of cashbook entries, coding and statement reconciliations is desirable
Good IT skills and able to demonstrate the ability of adapting to new systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willing to challenge the status quo and recommend change
Able to work under own initiative
Good Team Player
This position is best filled by a person who is self-confident, enthusiastic, of a positive disposition, self-starting, active, alert, competitive and able to work both as a team and on their own initiative. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is also essential along with the ability to prioritise workload.
