HRGO are working with a long standing client for a Project Support Officer in Northampton to provide a high level of technical and flexible Project Support to the Public Health Recovery and Wellbeing Programme
Primary responsibilities:
- To deliver comprehensive and effective support to all aspects of the project management within the parameters of the Programme.
- To make good use of the project software support tools provided particularly MS Teams, SharePoint, and MS Office and to assist others in so doing.
- Ensure projects are defined, governed, prioritised, managed and tracked in a consistent way across the Programme.
- Help to establish, consistent, fit for purpose processes and working practices across the programme team for key project processes such as status reporting, planning, risk/issue management and change control.
- Collecting and analysing and reporting on project specific and comparative management and performance information to meet all stakeholder requirements.
- Demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people's behaviour, physical, social and welfare needs.
- Work and support on general implementation of projects as identified by PMs to meet service delivery requirements and escalate non delivery as a matter of urgency.
Person Specification:
- Formal Project management training to at least PRINCE II Foundation or equivalent
- Knowledge of Project and Change management concepts and methodology such as Waterfall, Agile, Lean etc.
- Experience of analysing and solving complex process and systems problems and helping others with this skill.
- Skills and experience in managing project stakeholders at all levels in an organisation
- Experience of taking a lead role within a project environment
