MAIN PURPOSE(S) OF THE JOB:
- Acting as the liaison between Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) and a number of other Oxfordshire Local Authorities for the Park and Charge Project.
- Working with Oxfordshire Local Authorities to provide the support and assistance to ensure the delivery of the Park and Charge. The local authorities involved are West Oxfordshire District Council, South Oxfordshire District Council, Vale of White Horse and Cherwell District Council.
- Providing guidance to project partners to ensure specific programmes meet stakeholder/supplier/customer requirements.
- Working collaboratively with Councils and the community to encourage ULEV/intelligent mobility uptake;
- Help model, develop and deliver Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) services, infrastructure, policies and strategies to ensure that Oxfordshire is at the forefront of innovative transport and allied energy and data management solutions for the future.
- Working with businesses and research institutions to facilitate and promote innovation in low-carbon mobility and integrated transport delivery;
- Co-creation with the community and stakeholders to develop project approaches;
- Contribute to the development of County and District strategy and policy documents;
- Be a pro-active member of the iHub team;
- Create and promote national and international recognition, for Oxfordshire's role as a lead and test bed for innovation and community co-creation;
- To work as a member of the Innovation Service team to ensure that outcomes are achieved.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Deliver funded, low-carbon transport European and UK Innovation projects, such as Park and Charge: project implementation and risk management (including up to high-level reputational risk and health and safety);
- Manage the resources required to Procure/Commission/Develop for allocated innovation projects and studies, taking responsibility for day to day management and ensuring ensure successful delivery of the project;
- Maintain excellent, effective working relationships with stakeholders, key strategic partners, senior managers, politicians and other teams;
- Liaise with and work in partnership with various project partners, suppliers and contractors;
- Keep up to date with technology, legislation and best practice, and ensure that relevant initiatives are adopted to develop the effectiveness of the service;
- Preparing and submitting reports to project funding bodies such as Innovate UK;
- Such other appropriate duties as may be specified by the iiHub Manager/EV Integration Team Leader - from time to time;
- Manage own workload and the resources required to ensure successful project delivery;
- Work in accordance with the Corporate CHOICE values and competency framework.
