Project Engineer required to take ownership of surveying, drawing and supporting large UK custom projects for our client's customers. Pivotal in the growth of project sales, main duties will include the production of detailed designs/manufacturing drawings for bespoke and customer projects, resulting in efficient fabrication and supply. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ year's proven experience in a technical engineering office or similar environment, gained in a company operating within an international channel-distribution environment. Experience within the building / construction industry would be preferable but not essential. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities * Enquiry handling and customer liaison * Producing designs/quotations from pre-defined criteria in line with current process * Personally manage customer relationships liaising with Project Managers * 3D GA, fabrication and installation drawings of large custom works * Assist/Organise delivery of the custom orders to site * Identify and target potential new market sectors applicable to the product group * Monitor competitor activity * Involvement and leadership of innovation projects and tasks * Other engineering activities, such as design checking, problem & discrepancy resolution, supporting the office maintaining delivery to promise and undertake specific assignments when necessary Education/Experience * Mechanical/Structural Engineering degree or similar qualification/experience * Minimum one year's experience Design Engineering and/or Surveying * Quick, accurate use of 3D CAD (Inventor or Solidworks) * Experienced use of Microsoft Outlook & Excel * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Project Management Personal Profile & Key Competencies * Enthusiastic & energetic individual, confident in using own initiative * Self-motivated individual who delivers results, capable of providing in-depth analysis * Excellent interpersonal skills - able to develop effective relationships * Strong skill set in both new sales development and technical product management * Decision-making and prepared to travel occasionally We endeavour to respond to all applications; however, due to the large volume this isn't always possible.
