Position: Production/Machine Operative

Location: Deeside

Hours: This will be on the 24/7 shift rota pattern on rotational basis (Two weeks of days then Two weeks of nights and rotate ie

Week 1 Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat/Sun (60) then Week 2 Weds/Thurs (24 hrs) 12 hour shifts days for 2 weeks then nights for 2 weeks on this rotation.

Salary: £23,626 (24/7 shifts).

Due to growth and expansion our client is looking for a number of Production Operative to work within a busy print production environment, the ideal candidate will have some experience within production but full training will be provided.

Duties:

• To convert large, printed rolls of materials into the finished customer specified format, utilising our in house finishing equipment.

• The conversion process is linked to the printing process, with the two ultimately working in tandem as a "cell". The conversion process is also a crucial second stage quality gate, and as such a keen eye for detail is essential.

Specific Tasks/Accountabilities

• Operate within Company safety policy at all times.

• Knowledge and ability to utilise all inspection machinery to achieve highest possible quality with maximum output and minimum waste.

• Maintain a tidy work area at all times.

• Key Performance Indicators: Conformance to Plan, Quality (frequency and scale) and Waste

Skills, Qualification & Attributes:

• Knowledge of procedures for inspection rewind

• The ability to fault find and problem solve

• Display an excellent eye for detail

• Some mechanical skills, basic routine maintenance (including weekly safety and maintenance checks on all equipment)

• Previous experience within a busy manufacturing or warehouse environment

• Able to operate effectively and maintain standards whilst working to tight production schedules

• Strong attention to detail - able to stay focused and flag any issues calmly and clearly

• Understands customer needs - high focus on quality and order deadlines

• Willingness to work overtime as and when business requirements demand
