HRGO Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a permanent Production Supervisor for their client based in Washington. Job duties will include:- Competencies Accountability: * Is fully accountable for their own area of responsibility including; human resources, equipment, processes, procedures and output requirements. * Has a clear understanding of business objectives within their area of responsibility * Delivers a consistent approach, guided by organisational processes, policies and procedures Continuous Improvement: * Questions and challenges existing business practices to establish improvement * Actively identifies improvement activities through available data * Fosters a continuous improvement culture by encouraging ideas for improvement * Acts and follows through on feedback from all areas of the business * Collaborates with colleagues across all functions to drive continuous improvement Managing Resources: * Manages the allocation of resources in relation to business needs * Provides clear direction to direct reports * Evaluates and manages direct reports on key areas including performance, conduct attitude and attendance. * Participates in recruitment and selection processes to identifying the best talent available * Effectively utilises available resources for example SAP Health, Safety and Environmental: * Actively puts employee health, safety and wellbeing at the forefront of day to day work * Leads implementation and adherence to safe work practices in relation to Health Safety and Environmental. * Manages policies, procedures, processes and programs to assure the company of continuous conformance with appropriate standards and regulations in relation to Health, Safety and the Environment. Person Specification * Working knowledge of production equipment and systems including maintenance activities * Working knowledge of lean principles and daily kaizen * Plant manufacturing experience * Operational experience of ISO 14001 AND IATF 16949 * Experience of managing direct reports * Self-motivated able to work with autonomously * Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
