Position: Shift Leader
Locations: Widnes
Salary: Up to £29,000 p/a DOE
Hours: Shifts
Our client is looking for a proactive Shift Leader to join a well establish team.
You will need to be able to demonstrate the following behaviours:

Good communicator - Are you able to communicate effectively (verbal, written, digital), hold meetings and present to team and management. Are you an active listener and able to provide constructive feedback.

People management / employee engagement - you will manage leave; sickness, holidays and carry out RTW's- using Crown and other HR Systems.

Financial awareness - do you understand the impact of decisions on the wider business..

Ability to inspire - do you act as a role model, would you be able to coach and mentor, do you act professionally.

Problem-solving & Decision making skills - Do you know when to escalate problems

Organisational & Procedural skills - do you have a methodical approach to the task in hand.

Attention to detail - are you able to set operational and personal goals and objectives and monitor progress, providing clear guidance and feedback as part of PDA's.

IT skills - are you competent in the use of IT
Your main duties will include:
-
Management of the shift through use of effective and meaningful KPI's and ensuring that the team also use KPI's to measure effectiveness.

To be responsible for recording of team holidays and absences on Crown, carry out Return to Work meetings

Picking up on errors and driving discipline to change behaviour

Presence on shop floor dealing with any issues, supporting the team in their day to day work

Influence development ,focusing on building robust systems and processes which can be maintained by staff at all times through developing & maintaining SOP's.

Act as first point of contact for your team

Responsibility for shift staffing levels, working with your Line Manager to ensure the needs of the business are covered

Create a positive Health & Safety culture within the business which is fully compliant with all legislation

Carry out performance reviews , PDA's, for all direct reports and ensure all 100% completion for all colleagues.

Ensure all work is prioritised as per company needs.

Ensure all training is current and reviewed annually.

Hold and document daily shift briefs with shift members.
The working hours and shifts are:
6am to 2pm 5 days then 2 days off
2pm to 10pm 5 days then 3 days off
10pm to 6am 5 nights then 5 days off
