Position: Production Planner

Location: Widnes

Hours: Monday-Friday (days)

Salary: £25,000p/a circa

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Production Planner with strong focus on detail to create, modify and manage production plans along with other tasks as appropriate.

The successful applicant will work closely with Procurement, Operations, Sales, along with some direct customer communication. The Production Planner will support the ambitious growth plans of the business by ensuring optimum production runs and target customer supply.

Duties:

• Reviewing and assessing reports to determine production requirements, using both SAP and other SCP systems.

• Creation and issuing of production plans.

• Communicating plan and product information to all relevant areas.

• Promptly identifying / rectifying potential customer supply issues.

• Performing SAP administration tasks as required.

• Maintaining SAP Production Master Data, such as BOMs / Routings etc.

• Supporting other areas of Supply Chain Planning as required.

Person Specification:

• Enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.

• Be prepared and able to learn new skills with a flexible attitude.

• Highly organised and able to work under instruction as well as under their own initiative.

• Strong communication skills, the ability to engage competently and confidently at every level of the business, including some direct customer and supplier contact.

• Numerically oriented with a keen eye for detail.

• Possess proven administrative skills.

• Excellent IT skills with particular strengths in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

• Experienced SAP system user, desirable but not essential.
