Position: Production Planner
Location: Deeside
Hours: Monday-Friday
Salary: £NEG DOE
Role
Act as Planning Coordinator you will develop daily, weekly and Monthly production schedule. Will be primarily responsible for creation and maintenance of production and orders in SAP. Additionally, will be responsible for supporting Material Planner activities by developing raw material plans, creating material requisitions, and coordinating external suppliers and Procurement teams.
Duties and responsibilities
Planning (Detailed Scheduling / Master Scheduling)
Develop and ensure a balanced daily production schedule for production on various production lines at the site (1-2 weeks).
Work alongside Master Scheduler to develop and ensure a balanced 1-4-month Formulation and Packaging schedule.
Create planned orders and process orders in SAP based on production schedule.
Maintain process orders to ensure adherence to internal Transactional Compliance standards and responding to changes to daily production schedule.
Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders, including Master Scheduling, Materials Planning, Production, Dispatch and Maintenance to ensure that the schedule is well understood and reflects the needs of the site.
Act as backup for Master Scheduler, primarily in management of exception production orders.
Master Data Governance
Responsible for creating and updating master data in SAP, updates of planning master data, including bills of material and recipes.
Responsible for updating master data of raw materials and packaging including planned delivery times and safety stocks.
Materials Planning Support:
Responsible for developing and communicating raw material plans based on production forecast.
Responsible for creation of requisitions to order raw materials / packaging.
Ensure that all raw materials are available for production without excessive stock holding.
Act as back up to Material Planner, primarily in creation of purchase orders and management of coordinating timely delivery of materials.
Attributes and skills
Good organization and co-ordination skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
Some IT skills will be required - the finance system used is SAP, and there will be some need for excel/word/Teams skills.
Arithmetic skills - the purchase of products may be based on units/boxes/pallets and the ability to understand and switch between volumes is very important when talking to vendors.
