Job Specification POSITION: Production Operative LOCATION: Deeside HOURS: 6am-2pm / 2pm -10pm Monday - Friday SALARY: £23,000p/a REF: VR/00710 Job description: The role requires motivated individuals who can work under pressure with accuracy, focus and quality. The job will involve controlling machines and processes through either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to manufacture micronutrient liquids and suspensions. The use of a Fork Lift Truck to move raw materials and finished products to and from the mixing vessels will result in the need for a FLT licence. Key responsibilities: * Read plant specifications to determine products, ingredients, order of manufacture and personal protective equipment to be used to protect against the hazards present. * Control and operate chemical plant/equipment and processes. * Measure, weigh and mix chemical ingredients according to specifications * To operate the plants according to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and industry best practice. * To lead troubleshooting efforts in support of process issues and equipment breakdowns. * To look for opportunities for plant and process improvement. * To ensure the working area is in line with established housekeeping standards and procedures and 5S where applicable. * Interface with laboratory technicians to ensure that appropriate samples are provided in a timely manner along with the correct documentation for analysis. * To take corrective action immediately on identification of any issue that could compromise the quality of product. To report any such issues to supervision. Ideally the Candidates should have the following: * Excellent personal safety standards * Experience in Chemical Process Operations * FLT Licensed * Excellent housekeeping standards * Excellent timekeeping * English, Maths/Science at GCSE level or relevant vocational qualifications * Positive attitude to work The role will be working on a one-week rotating shift pattern of 6-2/2-10.
