The successfull applicant will be experienced and possess the following skill sets:-

• To oversee the management of the team of buyers and purchasing assistants
• To push and drive the team to achieve and maintain fill rate for stocked lines - by ensuring effective replenishment
• You will ensure cost effective placement of orders, driving your buyers to negotiate various opportunities for profit.
• You will ensure that freight costs are managed to optimise costs, working with other teams to implement best practice policies.
• You will ensure the Training Matrix is managed to bring all in the department up to the highest level of skill set for their role, supporting and coaching as needed.

Candidates suited to this role will have strong leadership skills, good organisational ability and to be able to implement personal devleopment plans and performance improvement.

You will possess excellent communication skills, being able to liaise with all levels of personnel, building relationships both internally and externally.
