Purchasing/Procurement Managers opportunity at this large established precision engineering company. The role manages the efficient running of the procurement team / department and the supply chain.
You will use your experience in manufacturing procurement to ensure best price and delivery options are maintained, evaluating suppliers and working on material buying strategies.
Working with "Just in time" thinking you will work closely with the estimating and planning teams to ensure any cost and material supply changes are understood so they can react accordingly. You will also investigate any supplier issues, evaluating supplier performance and identifying new suppliers.
Other key points include Maintaining stock levels, negotiating terms and ensuring order controls are effective.
This role requires you to have a familiarity with ERP software, previous team management experience with proven experience with operational purchasing and strategic planning. Ideally you will be CIPS qualified.
