HR GO are currently recruiting for a Processing Plant Supervisor to join their well established client in Ashford.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday when required.
You will be responsible for a team of 7 Operatives so previous Supervisor/Team Leader experience is required.

Responsibilities:
- Manage plant staff on a day to day basis.
- Coordinate feed stock movements in and out of the site and work in coordination with the processing side of the site through the weighbridge operations.
- Ensure all site staff are fully trained and competent in their respective roles and where necessary give advice of additional training needs.
- Manage the plant stock and ensure processed material is loaded out in a timely manner
- Ensure that all of the necessary processing plant machinery and supporting equipment is checked daily via the daily defect reporting system to ensure they are safe to operate.
- Manage and program all necessary planned and unplanned maintenance of the processing plant and supporting equipment.
- Responsible for the day to day Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality process and procedures of the processing plant.
- Drive improvement(s) and assist in implementing best practice of the processing plant and in coordination with day to day activities of the metal processing side of the site.
- Ensure that the processing plant production is maximised.
- Complete stock takes (audits) as required by the Board of Directors.
- Ensure processing plant operates in a financially positive manner.
Areas of particular attention:
- Ensure all process and procedures are adhered to and that a high level of health and safety and housekeeping is maintained across the site.
- The effective day to day management of the processing plant to ensure maximum effective output.
- Have a strong continuous improvement attitude and encourage effective production of the processing plant team.
Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Essential:
- Formal health & safety training - NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupation Safety and Health or willing to work towards.
- Managerial or supervisor experience.
- Team management and leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
Desirable:
- Experience of operating heavy plant would be an advantage but not essential.
- Heavy plant & engineering background.
- Forklift Truck experience and qualification.
