Position: Process Operator

Location: Sandycroft

Hours: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm Monday - Friday

Salary: Up to £29,000p/a + Overtime and additional company benefits

Our client is a well establish manufacturer and are looking for an addition to their production team.

Duties:

  • To operate and take ownership of the designated filling line and the filling area. Operator will be expected to learn each line for flexible working.

  • To ensure that all activities on the site are carried out in accordance with the company's Quality, H&S and Environmental policies.

  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained to high standards and meets the requirements of the HSE through liaison with the Shift Manager, internal and external engineers.

  • To ensure that all paperwork is completed clearly and correctly so that it meets all internal and regulatory requirements.

  • Organise and monitor the usage, rotation, and storage of washings, raw materials and bulk liquids, in a manner which does not compromise the quality of the product and reduces the volume of waste produced.

  • To work closely with the Shift Manager to ensure that the production plan is met and any deviations are recorded in the correct format.

  • Complete the release, goods issue and confirmation of process orders in a timely manner which meets the requirements of your fellow SAP stakeholders.

  • You are responsible alongside the Shift Manager, for the development of yourself and for the development of the processes that you carry out, in order that the efficiency of the site shows a continuous improvement culture.

  • To carry out 5S and health and safety audits.

  • To take part in investigations.

  • To create an environment of trust and open communication.

  • To implement the management's vision and complete objectives that match the Company's strategies.

  • To ensure no changes that have an impact on COMAH compliance are implemented without going through the Management of Change procedure.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Counterbalance Forklift truck licence (Required)

  • COMAH awareness (Desirable)

  • Process operations qualification - level 2 or higher (Desirable)

  • Health and safety qualification, IOSH / NEBOSH etc (Desirable)

  • A Levels in a scientific discipline (Desirable)

  • Process safety awareness (Desirable)

  • Process operations experience in dispersions and blending / mixing (Desirable)

  • COSHH and MSDS awareness training (Desirable)

  • COMAH experience (Desirable)

  • DSEAR awareness training (Desirable)

  • Knowledge of Quality standard ISO9001 (Desirable)

  • 5S experience (Desirable)
