Operations Manager (Voluntary Sector)

HRGO are exclusively recruiting for a local organisation in the voluntary sector, they provide a fantastic service to the local community and they are currently seeking a Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of an already well-established voluntary service. The role is designed to support the Trustees in implementing their growth plans for the service together with managing the on-going activities of case management. This requires someone who is able to manage, develop and maintain a professional service to the stakeholders, clients, volunteers and general public. The successful candidate will be the public face and voice of the service and will be expected to build strong business relationships with key stakeholders, implement and manage training, supervision and ongoing CPD, manage the services grant and funding strategy, ensure confidentiality and the professional management of databases and the office, recruit and manage office volunteers and provide financial services such as paying bills, posting transactions and producing excel budget reports for Trustee's meetings. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain all communication channels for the Service, including the website and social media accounts, so knowledge of Word press, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will be an advantage. An excellent level of literacy and numeracy is essential as is the ability to communicate effectively and confidently. Professional management experience including managing staff, setting objectives and KPI's as well as excellent computer skills are a must. Previous experience working at an influential level in an organisation is also preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to work 30-37.5 hours per week, to be negotiated. It may be necessary to work flexibly to attend meetings and events which can occur in the evening and on the weekend. Overtime as necessary when approved by the Trustees. Hourly rate of pay is circa £13/ per hour (FTE £25K) to be reviewed annually based upon performance. There will be a six-month probation period. Paid Holiday is 28 days which includes public holidays.
