Our prestigious client, who is the UK's leading manufacturer of Electrical Test Equipment, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced On-Site Calibration Engineer to join their team to be based in the Manchester or North Staffordshire areas, with access to the M6, M60/M62.

As trusted manufacturers of electrical safety test equipment, our client has been helping them at their state-of-the-art facility here in the UK. Some of the equipment they manufacture includes PAT Testers, PAT Software, Installation Testing Equipment and many more.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for testing, calibrating and adjusting a wide range of test equipment types on customers premises in the UK and overseas.

Key Attributes & Accountabilities:-

• Following documented procedures accurately

• Have a knowledge of specifications and measuring units used

• Carrying out first line repairs and maintenance on customers premises

• Discussing technical issues with customers

• Obtaining product specifications and maintaining a suitable library facility

• Calibrating a wide range of multi-parameter test equipment

• Providing certificate details when calibration complete

• Liaising with repair staff regarding faulty items

• Liaising with admin staff regarding customer contact/requirements

• Carrying out calibration work back at base if required

• Providing detailed calibration certificates

• Sourcing and understanding equipment specifications when necessary

• Identifying and sharing ways of improving test techniques and increasing parameters

• Delivering a best in class service delivery

• Working flexibly to meet customers' requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:-

• HNC in electrical/ electronics preferable

• Or demonstrable qualification through experience

• Experience within the Instrumentation industry or previous calibration experience

• Knowledge of Electrical/Electronic principles

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Sound mathematical knowledge

• Knowledge of quality standards/systems

• Good interpersonal skills

• Good self-starter with tenacity and drive
