Job Role: Occupational Therapist Assistant
Location - Sevenoaks, Kent
HRGO Education are in search of an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide specialist learning support in school, alongside the Occupational Therapist (OT) to secondary aged pupils.
HRGO Education are recruiting for a progressive SEMH school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. They are seeking a specialist Occupational Therapist Assistant to work independently with pupils, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. The role will include delivering Occupational Therapy sessions with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, recording accurate assessments, arranging for equipment or minor adaptations to meet pupil's needs, as well as identifying any further needs. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be confident at liaising with other professionals regarding the needs of the pupils, making referrals when appropriate.
The Sevenoaks school was rated "Good" by Ofsted and are well resourced to support the additional needs of their young people. The school has on-site parking and provides a free lunch for staff. The school is easily accessible by road from the surrounding areas of Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Malling and Orpington.
The role requires you at times to work across multiple sites within the school or at alternative locations that have links with the school e.g. West Kent College, therefore it is essential that you have your own transport and a full UK Driving Licence.
