Job Specification POSITION: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer LOCATION: North Wales HOURS: 6am - 6pm, rotating shift pattern SALARY: £39,000p/a REF: VR/00829 Overview Working as part of the Plant Engineering Team, as a Maintenance Technician you will work closely with the Production Department; responsible for undertaking planned maintenance tasks, mechanical and electrical installations and repairs to equipment and machinery across the plant in order to achieve a high level of service delivery. Key Responsibilities * Undertake a range of repair and maintenance activities to maximise the reliability of plant machinery and equipment. * Attend start of shift team briefings and complete of shift reports to ensure a comprehensive shift handover. * Ensure compliance to preventative maintenance routines for all site equipment. * Communicate equipment issues or parts order replacement to the Plant Engineer. * Monitor equipment performance and work with the wider plant engineering team to design out recurring problems * Carry out installation work to include modifying existing equipment and installation of new equipment * Inspect completed installations and maintenance repair work to ensure conformance with required operational standards * Promote and maintain high levels of standards in relation to Environmental, Health & Safety policies and practices * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, training and reviewing professional publications The successful candidate will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience: * Minimum of 3+ years experience of working in a busy manufacturing environment - FMCG environment - desirable * Experience of workings shifts desirable * H.NC/ONC minimum/City & Guilds qualification or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Electronic Engineering * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel * Good communication skills * Ability to work to tight deadlines * Proactive approach to housekeeping, 5s methodology and waste minimisation * Proactive approach to Health & Safety in the workplace * Ability to work as part of a team * Excellent organisational and problem solving skills Please call Nicola for more information on 0151 3471110 or email your CV to nicola@hrgoliverpoo.co.uk
