Our client based in Corby - Northants is looking for physically fit

Mig Welder Jig and Workshop Operative.

Full PPE required .
Shifts are 7.30am -4.30pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am-2.30pm on Friday.
Pay is £13.00 per hour .

Immediate start

PRIMARY ROLE:
1. Work within workshop team to ensure environment, materials and equipment is available for timely construction of customer orders.
2. Assist to construct products as per the design drawing supplied by the customer/commercial office.
3. Ensure all materials are measured correctly and precisely in accordance with design drawing.
4. Work individually or as part of a team to ensure highest possible standards of production, health and safety and customer service are maintained at all times.
5. Highlight any improvements/queries to the product design as part of UEC's 'right first time' and 'customer service' ethos.
6. Ensure work space and social areas around the site are kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.
7. Keep all machinery clean and operational; flagging any concerns to the management team.
8. Commit to reducing costs and wastage of materials and time.
9. Engage with colleagues to investigate continuous improvements throughout the manufacturing process.
10. Work off-site when required to assist clients with chassis modifications, repairs.

ESSENTIAL
In excess of 12 months experience MIG welding.
Good standard of general education.
Ability to read Technical Drawings and cutting lists.
Capable of working to tight deadlines.
Proven problem solving skills.
Physically fit.
Good team worker.
Willingness to learn further skills
Attention to accuracy and detail.
Knowledge of safe working practices.
Good organisational skills.

DESIRABLE
FLT Licence.
Gantry Crane licence
Full driving licence.
Electrical and Mechanical experience.
Qualified first aider.
