My client a leading company within their field is now looking to appoint a Microbiologist to work in their Quality Assurance department on a permanent basis. Working hours; Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00 Essential Functions as a Microbiologist; * Growth, Counting and Identification of Microorganisms * Bioburden testing of In-Process, Water and Raw Material Samples * Sterility testing * Microbiological media quality control * Processing of biological indicators * Environmental Monitoring of Cleanrooms for both viable and non-viable particulates * Challenge testing * Reading of media fills * Training cleanroom operatives in aseptic techniques * Participation in OOS investigations * Recording all results as per cGMP standards * General upkeep of the laboratory, including cleaning, waste disposal, stock control * Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Quality Control Manager Skills and Qualifications required as a Microbiologist; * Experience in cGMP * Experience and competency using aseptic techniques * Excellent attention to detail * Experience in Microbiological identification * It literate with practical understanding of Microsoft applications - Excel, Word and Outlook The working environment will require you to occasionally lift up to 20 kilograms, prolonged standing when testing products and potential exposure to chemicals. A minimum of 1 years experience working within a microbiological laboratory is required.
