Measure Technician

HRGO Recruitment are recruiting for a broad skilled, technically disciplined and adaptable Measure Technician to join a well -established client in Northampton. The Role The role is to support the Shared Services Department and will be reporting directly to the Measure Technician Supervisor. It will be a field-based role that will require you to be present on side for the duration of a working day and travelling to and from and between sites daily. This role can offer career progression within 8-12 months for the right candidate! The Candidate The ideal candidate will be competent in accurately measure the works completed on site highlighting deviations from original plans with detail of the additional measure related to the deviations identified and submitted as part of the applications process. Additionally, you will undertake testing at site as of when instructed to by the measure Technician Supervisor and provide feedback on site set up and the quality of works being undertaken/completed while ensuring that your work is undertaken safely and in compliance with JHG policies and procedures. You will be required to work in a fast paced, changing environment, and manage own workload, effectively while meeting deadlines. You will possess a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy, have Good IT skills and be competent with the use of internet, mail and Mircrosoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) Key Accountabilities; * To be able to provide accurate measure information for completed (or part completed work as required. * Monitor state and completeness of PPE ensuring missing PPE is obtained and defective PPE replaced immediately. * Carry out Clegg test/ depth checks, record and issue permit to reinstate on completion of test. * Support the project manager/ site supervisor in resolving queries with clients or sub-contractors in relation to completed build through the provision of independent measure. * Ensure the site is clear when undertaking measure of completed works, escalating immediately to The Project Manager or site supervisor if the site needs to be cleared. Ideal Qualifications/Training: * Driving License- essential * Strong Numerical ability * NSRWA- (singing, lighting, guarding) desirable * CSCS-desirable Hours up to 48 Hours a week. Mon-Friday Salary £19,500 per annum. Van, Fuel Card and Mobile Phone provided. This role can offer career progression within 8-12 months for the right candidate!
