Manufacturing Engineer role available for an impressive and expanding Aerospace Precision Engineering company based in Romford. As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will oversee and improve manufacturing processes whilst driving improvements in KPI's and providing root-cause analysis of and identifying any risks. This role suits an experienced and professional individual with a proven track record within aerospace production/ manufacturing.

The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer include:

• Ensuring that all projects fall within the allocated budget and timescale.

• Developing methods and processes to help make sure that costs stay low and quality stays high.

• Overseeing all other process elements; including tooling, gauges, CNC programmes, test equipment and production routings.

• Deciding on what tools and materials are required for the set manufacturing goals.

• Identifying where money can be saved and developing new cost structures.

• Working alongside New Product Introduction regarding product lifecycle management.

• Overseeing any documentation for process control, as well as ensuring that all processes are regulated by the quality management system.

• Completing research into any new techniques and technology that may aid future manufacturing strategies.

You will be able to interpret and understand technical drawings, ideally with experience using machine and cutting tools and other precision engineering processes. Previous use of GIBBSCAM and SOLIDWORKS would be a distinct advantage.

To qualify for this position, you must have come from an aerospace background, with an impressive knowledge of AS9100 regulations. You will also have a degree/HNC/HND/ equivalent education within the Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace sector. We are looking for an individual who has great communication skills who is self-motivated and analytical. Problem-solving and the ability to prioritise is also key.
