To manage existing and develop new profitable risk distribution relations with Financial Institutions (FIs) active in African markets, and in particular the trade corridor between Sub-Saharan Africa and Eurozone countries as well as support the Head of S&D in meeting all departmental responsibilities of: * Creating and promoting the Originate to Distribute model for the syndication of the bank's assets and in so doing, establish Group as the bank of choice in the Sub Saharan Africa loan syndication and distribution market; * Creating and maintaining a pool of Investor outlets within Financial Institutions (FI), Non-bank FIs, Insurance companies and Funds for the sale of Group assets; Primary Responsibilities of Role: Investor Onboarding: * Conducting in-depth financial, sector, country, risk and compliance analysis on prospective Investors; * Preparation of clear, complete and accurate Investor Credit Applications for processing by the Credit Department; * Ensuring adequate Credit limits are in place for Investors at all times; * Conducting Investor due diligence and ensuring all aspects of the KYC onboarding process are properly completed. Asset Distribution: * Demonstrate general understanding of the structures and documentation of the trade finance and corporate assets being distributed; * Ability to undertake the asset sale process from identification of an asset through to completion of the asset sale; * Engage with Loans Agency on a daily basis on all operational considerations in relation to assets within the S&D portfolio; * Ensure that appropriate guidelines, procedures and approvals are in place for new products or limits, through proactive liaison with appropriate areas within the Bank. * Relationship Management: * Develop relationships with a global network of banks, FIs, NBFIs, Insurance companies, Funds and institutional investors with particular focus on Africa to drive the distribution of corporate and intuitional banking assets; * Ongoing management of the Bank's asset sale portfolio which will involve organizing road shows, local and international travel to visit existing and potential counterparties; * Working with internal stakeholders in the business, middle and back office, finance, credit and compliance functions as well as senior management for the smooth execution of syndicated facilities; * * Communication and Information: * Provide the Head of S&D and the ?? with market intelligence on local and international trends in the primary and secondary trade and loan markets as well as advise on the appropriateness of processes, structures, systems and resources in place to effectively execute the risk distribution strategy; * Coordinating inter-departmental information flow between S&D and all stakeholder units; * Liaise with Middle Office, Credit and Legal in the drafting of UK house template documents such as MRPAs, NDAs, Insurance policies, etc. to be exchanged with Investors; Competence Requirements: Professional/Academic Qualifications: * Degree level education, preferably in finance or any related sector. * Postgraduate degree or Professional qualification is desirable. Experience/Knowledge: * A minimum of 8 years banking experience. * Minimum of 4 years sales or distribution experience. * In-depth knowledge of trade asset instruments such as LCs, Collections, Guarantees, etc. * Strong product knowledge across a variety of syndicated loans (Loan Origination, Loan Sales, Loan Trading), corporate loans, trade related assets, forfaiting, structured finance, ECA backed financing and political risk insurance. * Proven record of originating transactions, creating and maintaining relationships and selling assets to a varied investor base * Strong understanding of Credit and Compliance risks and mitigating these. * Robust knowledge and understanding of the International regulations, market practices and standards, with specialist expertise of the Africa market.
