We are recruiting for a Management Accountant to work within a team of management accountants for a highly successful PLC in Ashford. The role will also involve acting as a business partner providing a
centralised finance function for a multi faceted organisation.
This post holder will have individual responsibility for producing Management Accounts and reconciling balance sheets on
a monthly basis for several companies ensuring deadlines are met.
The post holder will be required to produce year end files for those companies, to include draft statutory financial
statements for audit.
This person will assist the selected businesses with the preparation of yearly budgets and half year budgets, be required to
produce VAT returns and P11D's for employees of each company, including any amendments during the year.
Produce monthly management accounts within deadlines required, including Profit/Loss accounts with analytical
reviews and fully reconciled Balance Sheets with supporting documentation on a monthly basis
Produce VAT returns, monthly PAYE payments and annual P11d's
Assist with the production of annual budgets for each company/branch and assist with half yearly budgets and
Produce year end audit files to include draft statutory financial statements
Maintain Asset Registers
General Administration and liaising with other companies, including ad hoc queries.
Review of Payroll reports for error/discrepancies and liaising with payroll clerks/branch staff to sort out any queries
Review sales ledger balances at month end with credit control
Review of purchase ledger for discrepancies and liaising with purchase ledger staff to resolve any queries or
Experience in accounting practices and principles, including areas such as VAT and accruals and prepayments,
with knowledge and understanding of all correspondence involved in management accounts
Good written and verbal communication skills
Advanced Excel skills, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Confidential in all aspects of the role due to the sensitivity of information, including salaries
Reasonably flexible with working hours to ensure deadlines are met
Good Team Player
Would suit AAT qualified or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified accountant or equivalent.
