Job Title - Maintenance Assistant

Working hours - 8:00am-16:15pm

Salary - £9.09 p/h

Location - Dorset

Key Responsibilities -

• Undertake unsupervised general building tasks

• Repairs to fabric, fixtures and fittings

• Undertake a wide range of planned maintenance duties

Previous experience -

• TWO years post qualification experience.

• Experience within large and complex facilities or estates.

• Experience of working within the healthcare profession, construction or hotel industry.

• Experience of using IT systems including Microsoft Office packages and FM software.

• Experience of influencing and negotiating in order to access and carry out works.

Previous qualifications/training -

• City & Guilds or NVQ 3 in building related craft subjects OR equivalent discipline and level OR knowledge and experience to undertake relevant range of work procedures.

• Knowledge of procedures for a wide range

• of general building skills including minor plastering, dry-lining, painting, flooring, repairs to doors, windows and fixtures, repairs and maintenance of building fabric.

• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.

• Knowledge of current guidance documents, ACOP's and regulations, etc. relevant to the post.

• Good general education with a good command of the English language, including oral and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of general good practices in a healthcare environment.
