HR GO are proud to be working with Ashford Borough Council in the search for a Maintenance Assistant.

To be responsible primarily for the Civic Centre to ensure delivery for all aspects of building operation and ancillary services.

This role is temporary cover for approx. 6 months.

Hours:

• 37hrs a week, Mon - Fri - 7hr days.
• Flexibility is necessary to accommodate occasional evening meetings and building opening hours.
• Building opening hours: 0730 - 1930.
• *Evening Meetings may run over finishing time.

Duties:

• To work proactively and positively as part of the Facilities Team to ensure the effective, efficient and safe operation of the Civic Centre and other council operated sites.
• Ensure security for the site is maintained at all times. Provide security support for users of the site, liaising with the monitoring centre and emergency services as required.
• To identify any maintenance and repair issues outside of minor general repairs undertaken by facilities to corporate property, and liaise with the Senior Facilities Coordinator to enable works appropriately
