Machine Technician / Print Production Technician

£25686- £29640 + over time

Reporting to: Production Manager Day OR Night Shift positions available!!!

Day shift is Mon - Thurs 6am to 4pm, night shift is Mon - Thurs 8pm - 6am.

An excellent opportunity for an individual from a Machining, Packaging, Print Production or Print, Die Cutting background or similar for our world leading client specialising in luxury packaging who work with prestige brands worldwide.

Job Purpose:

Operating the machines to meet production deadlines by ensuring the effective running of the machines, problem solving, and finding solutions.

Knowledge / Expertise

• Operation and repair
• Proven experience in Mechanical skills
• General maintenance
• Competent in turning and milling, tool and jig making
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems and process control systems
• Emmeci auto box making machines set up and operation maintenance and repair
• Hotmelt systems, vision / camera systems, labelling machinery and general packaging machinery set up,

Basic computer skills

Main activities

• Set up and operation of packaging machinery plus all line equipment delivering a standard that meets or exceeds requirements in terms of quality and output/cost
• In conjunction with Production ensure achievement of production plan and associated customer commitments
• Repair of production machinery breakdowns in timely manner
• Leading and carrying out all daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of production machinery and equipment
• Use of company systems and accurate stock levels, reading product drawings and line plans
• Actively look at ways to make improvements
• Implementation and creation of improvement activities /projects
• Correct use of systems to facilitate appropriate processes when required
• Promote a safe working environment and keep areas free from contamination
• Communicate effectively and support production teams and Team Leaders to achieve the plan
• New product testing and trialling.
• Carry out any duties as requested by the Manager
• Undertake any training required and suited to ability

Training of others in best practice including temporary technical support

Or can demonstrably show ability to attain these sills in timely manner via training and experience
