Machine Operators (Temp-Perm) Ditcheat, Somerset Full-time, Monday-Friday with regular Saturday Overtime Temp-Perm after 12 weeks * £9.09 per hour starting rate - up to 40 hours per week * £9.84 per hour once semi-skilled (approx. 6 months) * £10.08 per hour once fully-skilled (approx. 12 months) Do you have at least one year's experience within a food production environment? Do you enjoy operating machinery whilst monitoring quality? My client is a growing cheese manufacturer looking for hard-working and motivated production staff to join their team on a full-time temp-perm basis. This would suit both those looking for a stable long-term production role, as well as those looking to progress for a long-term career within food manufacturing. About the job: In this Machine Operator role, you'll play a pivotal part in the day-to-day operation of food production machinery and quality control. Duties include: 1 Inputting operational data into the computer via software systems ensuring accurate recording and monitoring. 1 Operate and monitor: * whey pasteurisers * cream pasteurisers * ultra-filtration and reverse osmosis plants * butter maker as per the company's standard operating procedures. 1 Taking and analysing liquid samples from silo and plant 2 Unloading and loading Lorries and performing intake/dispatch tests Hours of work: Full-time hours of work are operated as a rotation of early and late shifts between the hours of 4.30am when on earlies - midnight when on lates. Saturday overtime is also available during busy periods. What skills and experience should you have? With at least one year's experience working within a food production role, you'll be: * Physically fit and strong * Initiative and a positive can-do attitude * Pride in your work with a good eye for detail * Willingness to learn and a team-player * Flexibility with hours * Polite and friendly manner * Have your own transport due to location Machine Operating experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.
