Do you repair motor bikes or in general just like rebuilding and tinkering with engines and mechanical things?

I have 2 Machine Maintenance engineer roles, this is NOT a classic mechanical maintenance position

The role with require someone with patience and dexterity as parts of the machines are extremely delegate die to the nature of what the make.

My client, is a manufacturing company based in Chard, with an amazing history of producing fabric for film, theatre, bridal wear amongst many other things

This role is vital for the company and they are willing to look at all levels of skill as its very much about the individual and what they can bring to the team

Duties will include:

Planned Maintenance

Responding to breakdowns

Reactive maintenance

Manufacturing spare parts, so milling and lathe work

Completing relevant paper work

Hours are 6 am - 2 pm and 2 pm- 11 am

ON top of the basic wage of between £ 11.50- £13 an hour there is a £ 1.97 uplift from the hours of 6 am- 7am and 6pm- 11pm

Initially you will be trained on days for 3 months

The Ideal Candidate:

• Excellent communication skills

• Good eye for detail

• Ability to maintain performance and work effectively under pressure

• Good knowledge of mechanical/ maintenance engineering

• Welding certificate (ideal not essential)

• A self-starter who enjoys the challenges presented by complex machinery

• Bright and technically sound individual with a commercial outlook

• Enthusiastic and clear thinking

• Embraces change and continuously looks for ways to make improvements
