Legal Cashier /Trainee Supervisor of Cashiers

Our client a leading award-winning Legal Law firm with offices located in Spalding are looking for experienced a Legal cashier to add to their successful team. The ideal candidate will have a methodical approach with great attention to detail. This position requires previous legal accounts experience, as day-to-day duties include general postings and the input & sending of electronic payments is required. Being a trusted advisory to clients and colleagues and developing longstanding relationships with key clients and our internal teams.
The primary responsibilities are to:
Ensure compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules
Supervise all duties within the Cashiers Department
Be confident and able to resolve queries raised by fee earners, clients and suppliers
The day-to-day responsibilities are to:
Month end reporting/reconciling after close on the last working day of each month
Monthly reconciliation of designated deposit accounts and clients own accounts
Resolve queries on ledger postings, completion statements and counsel payments
Monthly & quarterly payment of partner dividends, tax, vat etc
Ultimately leading to: Oversee all cashiering duties - mainly receipts, payments, billing, posting of searches, direct debits, credit card postings, purchase ledger and daily bank reconciliations
This Role covers various ad-hoc duties. A methodical, calm approach is necessary
ILFM membership and knowledge of SOS Practice Manager/Connect would be very useful. This position requires previous legal accounts experience, as day-to-day duties include general postings and the input & sending of electronic payments is required.
