HR GO Education is working with an SEN school based in Swanley. Who has a rare opportunity to experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour to join their strong and enthusiastic team?

The days will be Monday-Friday,8:30-3:30

Some of your duties and responsibilities will include.

• Working with individuals and groups, ensuring students are kept on task and complete activities set by the teacher.
• Dealing with challenging behaviour and working 1-1 with pupils.
• Providing feedback to students without reference to the teacher.
• Taking a small group of students for defined activities.
• Being responsible for a small group of 5 children (mixed ages all primary)
• Working with challenging students away from the classroom as a respite strategy.
• In conjunction with the teacher, liaising with parents on student progress.
• Ensuring learner files and records are kept up to date.

Essential skills will include.

• Ability to work with challenging students, understand their needs, and demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies as and when required.
• Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
• Experience in teaching children with Special Education needs language difficulties, or other complex needs.
• Determination to raise the levels of achievement of children.
• Ability to cope with emotionally demanding situations.
• Knowledge of the statutory requirements of health and safety, SEN & safeguarding of children.
• Ability to work independently
