Lab Technician required for an ASAP start!

This is a permanent role - salary £24k ( 11.54 an hour)

Monday to Friday. 7.30- 4.30

Our client is a rapidly growing fertiliser manufacturing company based in Somerset. We now have an urgent requirement for a science graduate level laboratory technician to join their team to work on improving the manufacturing of our liquid range of amenity fertilisers.

The job will be to investigate quality issues including carrying out any necessary laboratory testing (within the clients on-site Innovation Centre) and to develop workable solutions to improve quality and reduce costs.

The role will also include developing costed solutions and the management implementing agreed improvements.

This is a new key role which would suit a self-starting, analytically and commercially minded graduate who enjoys solving practical problems and is looking to making an immediate impact.

Preferably you will have a science degree- or A levels in a science subject

As well as the above the role duties include:

Emphasis on quality control And an initial emphasis on our liquid department

Testing various products in water and salt based solutions to make sure they are stable.

Day to day quality lab testing of coated fertilisers

Other lab trials and tests as and when needed
