We are currently recruiting for a Commercially focused junior buyer / purchasing assistant who holds experience in the discount wholesale / food sector.

What does the role involve?
Your duties as Junior buyer will include but not be limited to:-

• Daily Stock and Order of regular lines
• Management of efficient stock controls, supplier's service levels and maximising supplier's promotional activity
• Product range maintenance, performance and development
• Assist with our monthly promotional magazine
• Collecting data on new and existing lines from suppliers
• Ensuring Hazard Safety Sheets are received from suppliers

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Self Disciplined in order to achieve a high level of accuracy in meeting tight deadlines
• Previous experience of FMCG procurement in the UK
• Some knowledge of Swords software would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills
• Ambitious and looking for continuous progression
  
  

This position is initially a temporary contract for 12 weeks however will lead to permanent for the right candidate with the potential to grow within the company.
