Engineering management opportunity within an IT SaaS environment. Using your understanding of both software and software delivery, you will lead a team of full stack (JavaScript/.Net) developers, UI Specialists and associated staff. Working closely with product owners, scrum masters and internal departments in this global aviation organisation to deliver a continuously improving product and service. The responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include, but aren't limited to: * Owning the engineering process, including all components of the engineering delivery life cycle. * Implementing quality assurance and engineering processes that focus on waste reduction and continuous improvement. * Measuring, and then reporting on, the team's performance. * Focusing on your team member's career development, recruiting new members when needed. * Interacting with all levels of the organisation, in a clear and concise manner. * Understanding and maintaining knowledge of CI/CD, Saas products and DevOps. To succeed in this role, you must: * Have outstanding leadership abilities within an agile environment. * Be technical and hands on when necessary. * Have an impressive knowledge of code and technology, so issues can be worked through with developers. * Be able to manage the department's budget.
