IT Development and support engineer Application Support and Development Engineer opportunity, working for a large Aviation company operating out of Stansted. Working within a small IT team, you will be providing support and development to a variety of Aircraft Maintenance and Manufacturing facilities across Essex. The role will be predominantly based in Stansted, however regular travel to other locations in the area is required, therefore you must have a full driving license. Features of the role include: * Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for the company's business systems, network, hardware and servers. * Development and support of applications, reports and databases * Daily monitoring of the systems, overseeing the company's hardware and keeping a track of server resources, to include back ups and storage control. * Supporting capacity planning by creating periodic performance reports. You will need to have a solid understanding of the following: * MS SQL Server * Crystal Reports / Business Objects / Oracle Reports * Windows Server/ Microsoft operating systems * The application development life cycle * Development and support of Unix (AIX, HPUX Linux) More information available upon application.
