Interim Accountant/Financial Controller

Location - near Bishops Stortford

Our client based on the outskirts of Bishops Stortford, are looking for a interim Accountant/Finance Manager to join their successful organisation.

This is a fantastic position working with a well-established charitable organisation who provide a worthy service and support to people in need.

Requirements

Appropriate qualification ideally ACCA or CIMA

Sound judgement with high ethical standards

Positive, helpful and approachable

Motivated self-starter

Responsibilities

To keep abreast of all legislative, charity commission and gambling commission requirements

Carry out payroll and accounting operations, including nominal ledger, banking and PAYE

Provide Management accounts, budget reports and cash flow forecasts to meet the needs of the CEO, management and trustees

Compile the annual report and accounts to be consistent with Charity Commission and Trustee requirements in time for Trustee review and AGM sign off

Support the process of collecting retailer charitable donations and lottery entry fees via the appointed wholesalers.

To provide assistance and advice in relation to financial issues to the CEP, management, trustees and area Committees

Attend meetings of the Board of Trustees, Budget Committee and Investment Committee providing supporting financial information

Salary: £50k P/R
