HRGO are currently recruiting on behalf of a large reputable client based in Folkestone, Kent.
We are looking for a Independent Living Manager to work alongside a team of 8 Independent Living Managers to provide a service to residents living in schemes such as semi-sheltered accommodation.
Main Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Liaising with the housing options team to assess eligibility of applicants with regards to housing.
- Dealing with complaints / tenancy disputes / anti-social behaviour
-Assisting legal team with court related paperwork
-Providing assistance and guidance relating to available services which may benefit residents.
-Oversee health & safety within the living schemes, such as fire safety boxes kept up to date.
-Carrying out building inspections
-Being responsible for all aspects of tenancy management.
-Completing annual risk assessment with residents.
Person Specification:
We are looking for somebody who is comfortable dealing with confrontation if it arises.
Ideally you will have an understanding of current issues with social housing, have the ability to work under pressure, be empathetic and strong minded in terms of working with vulnerable people.
An understanding of social housing, welfare benefits and and understanding of relevant housing and tenancy legislation and practice.
This is a highly varied role, so the individual will need to work to a fast pace and have the ability to switch between tasks.
