Our well established manufacturing client in Bridgwater is looking for an HR Manager with manufacturing or Production HR experience. THIS IS ESSENTIAL
Min CIPD Level 5
The role:
Deliver a proactive and flexible HR service by providing relevant and appropriate HR support to all employees, whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, documented policies and employment legislation. Advising managers on all HR matters including absence management, recruitment and selection, development and training.
The Candidate
As the HR Manager you will enjoy working with people at all levels throughout the business. You will be patient, tactful, diplomatic and approachable, be able to stay calm in difficult situations. You will be confident about gathering facts and statistics.
As part of the Shared Service team you will also have good commercial awareness, with good spoken and written communication skills. Be great at organising and will resolve most problems calmly.
Above all you will always respect the importance of confidentiality.
Key responsibilities
To strive for efficiency, whilst continuously improving delivery of HR services, in collaboration with HR Director to Line Managers and all employees
Supporting Line Managers in all matters relating to HR.
Manage the integrated induction and training for new recruits.
Manage and maintain the training database for training reporting, arranging refresher training and schedule essential retraining as required.
Offering advice, arranging and supporting disciplinary and grievance hearings within policy, producing own correspondence using standardised business formats.
To liaise and assist Line Managers with recruitment by following agreed approval process.
Participate in employee relations discussions with relevant employee groups and trade unions
To offer support to managers, including sickness absence, maternity, disciplinary and capability issues.
Communicating maternity/paternity policy to relevant employees, assisting with any queries and ensuring all relevant paperwork is produced.
Qualifications
CIPD qualified
Degree in Human Resources or related field
Good level of qualification in English and Maths
