Hospital Porter

We are looking for a Hospital Porter to work in Great Western Hospital in Swindon

As a Hospital Porter, you will be:

  • Escorting patients to different departments by wheelchair, bed or trolley
  • Moving around patients, equipment, pharmacy stores, gases, records and furniture where required
  • Assisting in the collection and management of wheelchairs around the hospital
  • Carrying out visual inspections on equipment before use to comply with Health & Safety

You will need to have:

  • Enough strength for moving around patients and equipment as well as being on your feet for large parts of the day
  • Excellent communications skills to work with colleagues, patients and visitors
  • An enhanced DBS carried out before starting the role

The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar role. This role is a temporary to permanent position with long term prospects.
