Location: Canterbury, Kent Sector: Helpdesk Operator Contract Start Date: ASAP Rate: £8.00 Monday to Friday Rate: £9.00 Saturday and Sunday Rate: £16.00 Bank Holidays/ Public Holidays Shift Pattern: You will be on a 12-week rota which can include any of the following shifts: 6:00- 14:00 14:00 - 22:00 22:00 - 6:00 10:00 - 18:00 HRGO are currently recruiting for a Helpdesk and Switchboard Operator for one of our clients based in Canterbury. Our client is looking for ambitious, professional individuals that work well under pressure in a busy environment. The Switchboard and Helpdesk will operate 24 hours a day 7 day per week which as an operator, you will be expected to cover as part of a rota. The area will deal with all incoming telephone calls to all sites and all helpdesk requests for soft services. About the job: * As an operator you will play a pivotal part within the hospital through call handling, answering enquiries and forwarding traffic to requested locations. * As the first point of call for patients and staff you will need to have exceptional customer service skills, whilst providing an effective and polite switchboard and helpdesk service. * Due to the nature of this position you will be required to follow an agreed procedure to activate helpdesk job processes, meanwhile being responsible for paging systems, emergency and alarm calls, ensuring agreed policies and protocols are carried out and complied with. What skills and experience you should have? * Previous experience in a call centre * Previous switchboard experience * A professional telephone manner * Shift flexibility, and be able to work well as part of a team You will require a current DBS certificate or be prepared to apply for one, you will require 5 years of working history, HRGO are happy to support you through the application process. Benefits: This is a temporary position with a possibility of a permanent contract. The position has availability of various shift patterns which would require you to commit to a weekly rota. The rate of pay per hour is £8.00 during weekdays, £9.00 during weekends and £16.00 for bank holidays for which the payments will be processed weekly and paid a week in arrears.
