HGV Driver

Bridgwater

£26500 - £27,000 per year

(£10.80 per hour & time and a half after 48hrs)

7.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Out client is a specialist supplier to the construction , and they are looking to recruit an experienced HGV driver to join the team in Bridgwater.

The successful applicant will be delivering and collecting equipment to and from customers throughout the South West, and occasionally South Wales and Andover. Due to the nature of the work, there may be occasions where an overnight stay is needed.

Essential experience:

• Valid full clean driving licence
• HGV Class 2 C + E Licence - Minimum 2 years HGV vehicle driving experience essential
• Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) essential
• Valid CSCS Site Visitor Card preferred
• Attendance on a recognised vulnerable road user scheme within the last 2 years preferred
• Working knowledge of construction/housing/civil engineering industry advantageous
• Knowledge of the local & regional geographical area essential
• Ability to complete records/paperwork accurately is essential
• A reasonable level of fitness to work with loads is essential
• To be flexible, trustworthy & reliable and have excellent time keeping skills essential
• Experienced in delivering/collecting heavy goods to construction sites advantageous
• Good communication, (spoken English) and interpersonal skills are essential
