HGV Commercial Vehicle Technician MONDAY - FRIDAY

£36,400 Basic + shift allowance £41600 + O/Time

Working hours: Working a 40-hour week Monday to Friday one week of early next week a week of lates on a rotation

Monday to Friday early shift: 6.00am till 2.30pm then a week of Monday to Friday late shift: 2.00pm till 10.30pm

HGV Commercial Vehicle Technician required for our client a state-of-the-Art workshop with state-of-the-art technology based in working for one of the largest workshops in providers of support services to the Commercial Automotive sector.

My client is now seeking to recruit an experience HGV Technician who has a minimum Level 3 City and Guilds or similar. You must possess at least two years recent experience as an Commercial HGV Technician in a Workshop, you must be fully qualified as a Motor Technician and have your own tools.

The ideal candidate must be a team player, able to work to deadlines and targets but also be self-motivated, organised, and able to multitask; to cope with the constant flow of work. Good servicing and diagnostic skills are required for this position.

HGV Technician duties and responsibilities:

You'll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.

You'll work independently to maintain and repair all vehicles and components

You'll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).

You'll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.

You'll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.

Experience Required

A completed secondary vocational education.

A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge

An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components, and associated vehicles.

Familiarisation with developments in the automotive industry.
