HR GO have this rare and amazing opportunity for a Health Advisor to work in an inbound Call Centre based in Wakefield.

Pay Rate:

Weekdays - £10.09

Nights and Saturdays £13.62

Sundays and Bank Holidays £17.15

24-30h/week

As a Health Advisor for the Integrated Urgent Care service, you will be the first point of contact of communication with patients, patients relatives, health care professionals and other callers. Using NHS Pathways to record patients demographics and basic clinical information, you will assess their condition and ensure they are directed to the most appropriate health care professional or end disposition.

You will provide assessment, basic advice and health information to patients calling 111, supporting them to access the appropriate level of care including advice to manage their symptoms at home.

Expectations of Staff:

To deliver high quality, safe and clinically effective health care over the telephone using clinical decision system NHS Pathways

To ensure that every patient contact is conducted appropriately with an emphasis on the provision of clear, evidence-based advice and signposting to an appropriate service

Professional judgement to be always used, and with the support of clinical assessment software, provide skilled and effective assessment of patients presenting clinical need, through telephone consultation

Effective communicator (both verbal and written)

Effective engagement and influencing skills

Effective listening skills

Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills

IT literate

Ability to deal with confidential/sensitive and distressing information

Able to work under pressure

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 GCSEs Grade C or above or equivalent, including English

Driving licence

Customer Service Experience

Shift Pattern - 24/7 365 role with a mixture of days, lates & nights in a rota, you will be required to work 3 out of 4 weekends and 6 out of 8 bank holidays.

Training is for 10 weeks at either Wakefield or Rotherham - the first 6 weeks would be full time, 100% attendance required. There will another week that would be classroom based to consolidate learning, this will usually be between week 10 and week 14.
