Job Title: Head Chef Salary: £32,000pa Location: Hythe, Kent Salary: 45 Hours per week HRGO are currently recruiting for a Head Chef to work in our clients 4* restaurant covering fine dining and events. Our client who is based just outside of Ashford is looking for an ambitious chef, who can be creative with menus, and has experience working in fine dining and events. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and will be expected to lead and motivate a Kitchen team. As a head chef, you will be responsible for building a reputation for our client by maintaining a talented and creative kitchen team, offering an innovative menu and promising exceptional culinary experience. Main Duties * Enforce and review all policies and procedures to establish a well functioning kitchen department. * Manage department operations, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and waste management. * Create and price menus that meet and exceed customer expectations. * Ensure dishes are cooked, prepared and served or plated to the highest possible standards. * Liaise with the events team where necessary in the planning and delivery of events * Control costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins and financial targets Essential Qualifications * Food Hygiene Level 3 or higher * HACCP and COSHH trained * Driving Licence * Maths & English GCSE or Equivalent Desirable Experience * Experience in a rosette accredited restaurant * Experience within an award winning event establishment.
